A selection of images taken by talented local photographers from the 2021 Macarthur Nature Photography Competition have been installed in our Mental Health units.
Captured by talented South Western Sydney locals, including primary school aged photographers, the photographs were installed in chill out and sensory rooms in the hospital.
"The art installation in new therapeutic spaces is a welcome initiative that improves patient experience and provides our mental health staff with additional tools in their work to support patients’ recovery.”
“The images chosen are a stunning display of our local region’s character and the photographers’ talent, provide a sense of place and bring calming images of nature into the built environment to create a more therapeutic environment for patients, visitors and staff,” said Direction of Operations Mental Health, Jenny Glass.
Collaborating with local councils from the Macarthur Region to source the images, the installations were completed in March and April this year.
