Artist Erica Seccombe (front) with project team members, checking out progress on the feature artwork

Artist Erica Seccombe recently joined us on site to view the install of her artwork that is featured throughout the new clinical services building.

Complementing the cascading staircase that connects the future building to the existing, Erica's feature piece will take just under a month to be hand painted on the wall.

Together with the botanically-inspired art that will feature across all levels, this piece will further connect the interior of the new building with nature, and pay tribute to the native flora of the Cumberland Plains.

Erica has also created dedicated artwork for the Children's Unit in the new building, with drawings of common wombats, sugar glider possums, blue tiger butterflies and more. Brightening the space, the playful illustrations will provide comfort, delight and interest to patients and families, many of whom spend long periods of time in the hospital.

"It is a privilege to work on such an amazing project for the Campbelltown community," Erica said.
"I hope my artwork welcomes and comforts staff, patients and visitors. These pieces were designed for the community and I am hopeful that they feel a sense of ownership and wonder as they walk through their new space."
