Delivery of the machines was brought forward to support facility in responding to the increased demand.

The hospital’s Medical Imaging team has welcomed the early arrival of two new mobile x-ray machines. Both machines have been put to work straight away, allowing staff to treat patients quickly and efficiently.

The mobile units are used for radiographic imaging of patients who cannot be moved to the radiology department and will allow treatment to remain isolated from the rest of the hospital.

Part of a larger order, set to be delivered to the new clinical services building when it becomes operational, delivery of the machines was brought forward in response to current demand and will greatly enhance the team’s ability to care for infectious patients who cannot be moved around the hospital building.

Having the two machines in key areas will reduce patient wait times, increase diagnosis turnaround and allow for a quick response.
